About elyktc-photos
I’m Kyle and I live in Wisconsin, USA. My parents lost their digital camera, a Kodak DX4900, quite a few years ago, so they bought a new one. In 2010 I found their old camera, and since they had no need for it anymore, they let me keep it. All the photos on this blog were taken with that camera. It’s a dinosaur, but it has served me well so far and actually has some advanced features most cheap point-and-shoots today don’t. I do, of course, intend to upgrade as soon as I can afford it.
I’ve always enjoyed taking photos, but since actually owning my own camera I’ve been able to really get into it and learn more about the technical aspects of photography. People are rarely the subjects of my photos; as you can see, I prefer shooting landscapes, or things that I don’t need to talk to in order to get the picture I want.
I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in computer science at the end of 2012 and am currently employed as a software developer. I have never done any professional photography work and I do not intend to land a career in photography. Photography is simply a hobby of mine, mainly because it would be very difficult making a living off the kind of photos I like taking.
I want to travel as much as I can, and as a result, I love seeing photographs from around the world. Even things that may be common or boring to the local residents are interesting to me. That is why I made this photo blog, so people from around the world can see what my part of the globe looks like. So thanks for taking the time to look. I would love to hear what you think, and I am always open to constructive criticism.
